Immigrant Visa Services Fees

The Consulate reminds Immigrant Visa Applicants that:

  • You are not requiered to use any visa processing service outside of the Consulate.  You may use professional legal services to assist you in filling out your paperwork if you so desire, but it is not required.

  • All processing for Immigrant Applicants and Diversity Visa winners is handled directly by the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil.  The Consulate does not work with any outside office or professional service in Ecuador.  The Consulate does not have any official agent outside of Guayaquil and all processing occurs inside the Consulate building.


    Costs to be paid at the cashier located inside the Consulate (per person)

Immigrant Visa interview and processing fee$400.00
DV Charge (only if you are a Diversity Visa recipient)$775.00
Returning Immigrant Application (returning resident status)$400.00
Transportation letter application$165.00
Filling an Immigrant Visa Petition$355.00

You may pay with cash or with credit card VISA, Mastercard, Discover, Diners International, or American Express.  We do not accept $100 bills, nor exceedingly worn or ripped currency.

         Costs to be paid at the Medical Offices (per person)

Medical examination (Adults):                                    $80.00  
Medical examination (Children):                                    $25.00
Vaccinations (if necessary):                                     Varies
