Competition to Select “Youth Ambassadors” 2008 Is On

The U.S. Embassy in Quito, the U.S. Consulate General in Guayaquil, and the NGO Partners of the Americas, announce the opening of a competition aimed at students from fiscal, municipal and missionary high school throughout the country, to select ten “Youth Ambassadors” for the 2008 program.  Selected students will travel to the U.S. from April 4 through 19, 2008 with all expenses covered by the Government of the United States.

Eligible students must study in public high schools, have excellent grades, intermediate knowledge of English, be active in social or voluntary activities, and possess leadership qualities.  The deadline to send applications is February 7, 2008. (application form)
