Consul General Douglas Griffiths addresses CEN students

The Consul General Douglas Griffiths was the keynote speaker at the November 15 ceremony honoring this year’s Centro Ecuatoriano-Norteamericano (CEN) graduating class.  It was an honor for the Consul General to congratulate a fine group of dedicated and studious young men and women.  The CEN is well known in the city of Guayaquil for its commitment to promoting mutual understanding between the U.S. and Ecuador through comprehensive English classes and a variety of cultural activities.  In partnership with the Consulate General, the center is currently promoting the College Horizons program, which offers 25 scholarships to students from low-income families to study English.
