A representative of the U.S. Consulate General in Guayaquil recently visited a local public school and encouraged the students to never stop striving to reach their goals. “In your lives, some people will say that you cannot be successful. Even worse, there are people who will try to convince you to do things that could jeopardize your futures. Please remember that they do not share your goals and do not care if you make your dreams come true. You can achieve whatever you want in life, but only if you keep working towards achieving your goals. What counts are your efforts and nothing else”, the diplomat told the approximately 110 students from Escuela Fiscal “María Luisa Solís”.
At the same time, he took advantage of the opportunity to offer information about several educational programs sponsored by the Consulate General and designed to give opportunities to outstanding students from local public schools.
The elementary students enjoyed the visit by the American diplomat and listened attentively to the examples, suggestions and information that he gave them.
