New Consul General Meets College Horizons Scholarships Recipients

During his first visit to the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN), the U.S.-Ecuador bi-national center in Guayaquil, Consul General Francisco Fernández talked to a group of young students who have received College Horizons scholarships from the Consulate. Mr. Fernández congratulated them on their hard work and encouraged them to continue working hard to achieve their goals and finish the program successfully.
College Horizons is a program that offers two-and-a-half year scholarships to outstanding high school students to study English at the CEN. The program, which is sponsored by the Consulate General and the Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano, expands the opportunities available to young Ecuadorians from disadvantaged backgrounds, allowing them to meet the high expectations of a globalized world.
