Consul General Visits Loja and Zamora

Ex-Consul General Douglas Griffiths recently traveled to the provinces of Loja and Zamora to visit several environmental projects sponsored by the U.S. government in the region. During his visit, Mr. Griffiths also donated a vehicle to the Procuencas Fund to help support its work.
“The protection of the environment in this part of the country has long been a priority for the U.S. government. We want to ensure that its residents have access to clean water and can improve their lives through economic activities without damaging the environment”, emphasized the Consul General in a speech in Zamora.
Mr. Griffiths also took advantage of his visit to thank both communities for their hospitality and support during his time in Ecuador.
