Jazz Envoys 2008 Program for Ecuadorian Music Students

Four Ecuadorian music students will be selected to join the U.S.-Ecuador Jazz Envoys 2008 group”, a project supported by the U.S. Embassy, the Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Jazz Masters in Ecuador.  The program’s objective is to increase mutual understanding between the two countries through musical exchanges and jazz concerts.  The students selected will travel to the United States in July to attend a jazz camp for one week, where they will improve their execution and improvisation techniques.  When the students return, the Embassy will support concerts and workshops in all Ecuador, so they will be able to share their music and experiences with different Ecuadorian audiences and other music students.
