“Education USA” Opening in Guayaquil

On September 10, the Cultural Affairs Officer from the U.S. Embassy in Quito visited the Las Peñas campus of the Escuela Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) to officially sign an agreement to open a new EducationUSA office in the Guayaquil-based institution. While at ESPOL, the American diplomat inspected the future site of the Education USA office and talked with person recently recruited to be the student advisor.
EducationUSA is a global network of more than 450 educational advising centers supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in the U.S. Department of State. EducationUSA centers offer foreign students the opportunity to learn more about studying in the U.S. Centers are staffed by professional advisors who help students navigate through the process of identifying and applying to American universities.
Although the EducationUSA center in Guayaquil will be based in ESPOL’s Las Peñas campus, its services are available to any member of the general public. For more information, please visit http://www.educationusa.state.gov/.
