U.S. Government Donates Two X-Ray Scanners to the Ecuadorian Postal Service

On behalf of the Narcotics Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy, Quito, on Jan. 18 U.S. Ambassador Linda Jewell donated two x-ray scanners to the Ecuadorian Postal Service to be used at postal facilities in Quito and Guayaquil. These x-ray scanners will greatly enhance the capacity of Ecuadorian postal and counter-drug personnel to screen packages for illegal drugs. This donation is another contribution from the U.S. Government to Ecuador’s fight against drug trafficking.
