Consul General Speaks at CEN Graduation

The Centro Ecuatoriano-Norteamericano (CEN) recently held its graduation ceremony to celebrate the achievements of this year’s graduating class. Consul General Douglas Griffiths was the keynote speaker, and in his speech, he recognized the efforts of the exemplary group of dedicated and studious young men and women. He also praised them for deciding to expand their personal and professional opportunities by studying English.
The CEN is well known in the city of Guayaquil for its commitment to promoting mutual understanding between the U.S. and Ecuador through comprehensive English classes and a variety of cultural activities. In partnership with the Consulate General, the center is currently promoting the College Horizons program, which offers 43 scholarships to students from low-income families to study English.
