Registering with the Consulate

Why register?

Registering with the Consulate gives U.S. Citizens traveling or residing in Ecuador many benefits.

By registering, the Consulate can:

  • Contact you in case of a country-wide emergency.

  • Better assist you if you find yourself in trouble.

  • In an emergency, contact your family and friends in the U.S.

  • Better assist you if you lose your passport or other documents.

The information you submit is protected by privacy laws and the Consulate will not release any information without your authorization. To register online click here. To register in person, stop by the Consulate and fill out a registration card, Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
